I am an undergraduate student at The Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL working toward degrees in Music and Editing, Writing, and Media, with the hope of pursuing a career that will allow me to make use of both of these. I am most interested in arranging, music journalism, public relations, or pursuing a graduate degree in musicology or composition. Overall, with whatever path I choose, I hope to promote the benefits of music in society and inspire others to participate in music and the other arts.

Born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL, I am the oldest of three children and the daughter of two journalists. At age six, I had my first music lesson on guitar, and have since then also studied piano, violin, cello, and alto saxophone. As a high school student, I was active in chorus, marching band, and theater. I first experimented with composition during high school, after developing an obsession with film scores, and began arranging for my high school choir. My passion for arranging was further nurtured by my admittance into the AcaBelles, Florida State University’s only all-female a cappella group, in which I currently serve as Music Director. During my three years singing with the group, I have had the opportunity to perform at several competitions and festivals and to have my arrangements performed and viewed by others, recently on a national level. In addition to this, I play saxophone in the FSU Marching Chiefs, for which I attend daily rehearsals and perform at all home football games. I am also an active member of Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary band fraternity, and have served in several leadership positions within my chapter.
